Youth in residential care as well as students needing support from surrounding school districts receive educational programming through the Yellowstone Academy.
Yellowstone Academy offers regular education, special education, vocational education, Title programs, and 504 services. YA operates year round on a trimester academic calendar. Students completing High School graduation requirements may graduate at the completion of semester.
Students are taught from research based curriculum. The number of students in the classroom varies, but every effort is made to keep the class size to 10 or lower. All high school courses follow accreditation standards and transition credits back to sending districts are coordinated through Yellowstone Academy.
YA is one of the only public schools associated with Residential Treatment in the western United States that meets multiple state accreditation requirements including but not limited to Montana, Illinois, and California. Yellowstone Academy is accredited by Montana Office of Public Instruction (K-8) and by AdvancED (9-12).
There are currently career opportunities as a Behavior Specialist or Program Therapist at Yellowstone Academy. Please contact Principal Keith Tresch at (406) 656-2198 or firstname.lastname@example.org for information about careers at Yellowstone Academy.
