Glenn McFarlaneChief Executive Officer of Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch
Glenn McFarlane was appointed as CEO of YBGR in October 2006 after the previous CEO resigned for medical reasons. Before accepting the position of CEO, Glenn had worked for YBGR for 16 years as the director of marketing and had been the chief financial officer since 1992. He graduated from Seattle Pacific University in 1972 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. The CEO is a voting member of the YBGR board.

Stephen Mandler, DOMedical Director for Yellowstone Boys & Girls Ranch
Dr. Mandler went to medical school at the University of North Texas State Health Sciences Center. He completed his medical internship at the Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon.  He then went on to complete his general psychiatry residency and his child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the Menninger Clinic.

After completing his child psychiatry training, he served as a clinical researcher at Menninger's Child and Family Study Center.  Dr. Mandler worked with such mentors thereas Martin Maldonado MD and Peter Fonagy PhD.  After moving to Portland, Oregon and opening a private practice in child psychiatry, Dr. Mandler served on the faculty of Oregon Health and Science University Medical School and Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Mandler was one of the founders and also served on the faculty of Portland State University’s Infant Mental Health Graduate Training Program.

Prior to becoming Medical Director at Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch, Dr. Mandler served as a Regional Medical Officer/Psychiatrist for the US Department of State. He served diplomats and their families in Mexico, Ghana, Nigeria and numerous West African countries.  He also served our diplomats in various provinces of Afghanistan during late 2010 and 2011.

Dr. Mandler’s clinical interests have been in the areas of infant mental health, the role of the father in children's personality development and the treatment of autism spectrum disorders and early childhood trauma. Dr. Mandler enjoys living in Billings with his family and in his free time enjoys playing basketball, hiking and climbing.

James Holiday, CMA, MBAChief Financial Officer
James Holliday came to Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch as the Chief Financial Officer in August of 2012. Before accepting the CFO position with Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch, James had over 20 years’ experience in healthcare finance including over 5 years as the Chief Financial Officer for hospitals. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in 1989 from The University of Akron and his Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Health Services from Keller Graduate School of Management in 2009. The CFO is responsible for all the financial operations for the organization.

Shawn Byrne

Shawn Byrne, MSWChief Operating Officer for Community Based Services
Shawn Byrne has a bachelor’s degree from MSU-B in Organizational Communications and Psychology and a Masters of Social Work degree from Walla Walla University. He currently serves YBGR as the Chief Operating Officer for Community Based Services. Shawn has over 25 years in the mental health and human service field.
