Grant to Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch
The Breakfast Exchange Club of Billings has awarded a grant of $4,800 to Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch (YBGR) for the purchase of educational materials. YBGR has 12 school-based teams, each consisting of one therapist and one behavior specialist working in 7 area school districts. Currently over 120 underachieving at-risk children are working with YBGR staff in this capacity. The funds from this grant will be used to purchase a curriculum designed for at-risk students and will provide a valuable tool for staff to use in helping each child achieve academic success.

(Billings, Montana) Facility celebrates 50 years of serviceWhen Franklin Robbie visited the state industrial school and saw that young juvenile delinquent boys were housed with older criminals, he determined an option needed to be created. Yellowstone Boys Ranch began in 1957 as a place for juvenile delinquent boys as young as 10 years old to stay. The goal was to help them find a new direction and prevent them from becoming hardened criminals.
